AECS SUNDAY SCHOOL ("the App") is an educational platform developed by Shady Medhat. Our mission is to provide a secure environment for tracking student lessons, curriculum milestones, and technical skill development at AECS. This policy outlines how we handle data to maintain a safe learning ecosystem.
2. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
We strictly adhere to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- No Commercial Tracking: We do not collect behavioral data for advertising or sell student information to third parties.
- Institutional Consent: Account creation is facilitated through AECS educational administrators or parents.
- Purpose Limitation: Data collection is strictly limited to academic progress and logic circuit design achievements.
3. Data Collection Transparency
To provide tracking features, our FastAPI-driven backend collects:
Account Data
Name and email address for secure authentication and user identification.
Educational Progress
Lesson completion status, quiz scores, and logic design project milestones.
4. Technology & Security
The App is built using React Native for a seamless mobile experience, while data is managed via a FastAPI infrastructure with SQLAlchemy ORM. All data transmissions are encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols to ensure your information remains private between your device and our secure servers.
5. Account Deletion & Right to be Forgotten
In accordance with global privacy standards, we provide a clear path for data removal:
In-App Deletion: Navigate to Settings > Account > Delete Account within the app.
Web Request: You may request deletion by emailing shadymedhatsalah@gmail.com.
Once requested, all personal identifiers and academic records will be permanently purged from our databases within 30 days.
